Kingdom People Helping People Find and Follow Jesus

Welcome To LifeSong: Whatever your faith tradition, whatever your culture and race, whatever your age, atheist or agnostic, differing abilities, or whatever has happened up until now, may Lifesong be a place of grace and healing for you.  We want to meet you where you are and help you take the next steps on your spiritual journey.

Mission Statement: LifeSong exists to develop followers of Jesus Christ to become spiritually engaged in ministry, in prayer, and to be obedient to God’s Word.

Vision:  To create an environment where individuals and families are nurtured in their faith, provide a place where they can come to worship, to fellowship and spend time together.  We desire to invest in our community and to share the love of Jesus Christ at every opportunity.

Who are Lifers?  We are disciples/followers of Jesus Christ whose lives are changing little by little by warmed heart experiences (conversion).  Lifers are growing in the love and grace of Jesus Christ to make a difference in their church, community, and the world.  Lifers are Family who realize everyone has a common heartbeat and all need the same thing to live out their hope, faith, and love in Jesus Christ.

What do Lifers believe and how we have partnered with Jesus Christ, the United Methodist Church, the community, and the world?

  1. We worship together (our presence)
  2. We pray together.
  3. We use our gifts to strive to become sacrificial together (generosity)
  4. We serve together.
  5. We witness together.
  6. We believe in these Sacraments:
  • Holy Baptism: We believe that by sprinkling, pouring, or immersion, all people from infants to adults may receive God’s grace in the community believers.
  • Holy Communion/The Lord’s Table: We believe that God’s table is open to all people.

About God (Trinity)

We believe in the Holy Trinity, that God exists as an eternal relationship of love among Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  God the Father is the creator of the universe and created us in his own image.  God the Son became human in Jesus Christ, and is the Savior of the world.  We believe Jesus was crucified, and was resurrected, forever defeating the power of sin and death; and offers salvation to all who accept him as Savior and Lord. We believe in the Holy Spirit that is God’s presence living in us, empowering us to be what we could never be on our own. He is our sustainer, encourager and comforter as we move through daily life.

About being United Methodists — We are people of the United Methodist Church; we have open hearts, open minds and open doors to all people.  As we struggle to make decisions about how to live, we do so with prayer and study.  Scripture is the primary source for our beliefs.  Our beliefs are also guided by tradition, experience, and reason.  As United Methodists we believe, “If your heart is like my heart, take my hand.” (2 Kings 10:15)

Interested becoming a Member? — At LifeSong, our primary focus is on assisting people to connect with God and each other.  Church membership is a recognition of the belonging, or connection that has already taken place within the life of our community.  We would love to have the opportunity to meet with you so we can get to know you, and better assist you in your spiritual walk and development.
